Many of you have asked for an update on Vonnie’s status.
(For those of you new to TFT, Vonnie was a personal assistant to all of us, and perhaps more importantly, our main customer interface almost since the day Target-Focus Training began. She was diagnosed with brain cancer in late May of this year).
Sadly, she lost her battle against cancer Saturday afternoon.
With the discovery of new tumors a couple weeks ago and no clear evidence of the source, we all knew it would be a difficult struggle. Still, she remained upbeat and courageous until Thursday, when suddenly something changed. And in just 3 days she was gone.
For those last few days she was constantly surrounded by family and close friends.
As little as 2 weeks ago, she still would spend an hour or so most days answering questions and organizing shipment of t-shirts, certificates and other items to live class attendees, something she had done for 9 years.
That’s why even knowing the long odds, the suddenness of the end was devastating to everyone.
One of her last concerns was that she couldn’t begin to individually thank the 1,000′s of people in the TFT community who had sent her emails, notes and gifts of encouragement. I hope you can know just how much they meant to her.
There will be a public ‘celebration of life’ here in Sequim on October 9th. If you have a story of how Vonnie touched you in a special way, please send it to us here. We’ll publish these into a booklet that will be available for guests to see at the memorial.
Several people have asked about sending flowers, etc. Here’s what we’d like to suggest instead.
While treatment costs were immense, TFT has paid many of her uncovered medical expenses.
However, Vonnie was just 52, and her husband, Dean (many of the boxes shipped to you over the years have Dean’s helping fingerprints on them as well) is faced with not only the loss of his sole-mate for life but a mountain of expenses and the loss of a second income.
So what we’ve done is set up a Paypal account where, in lieu of flowers or other donations, you might consider clicking here and contributing any amount to help him. We will forward everything in the account to Dean.
One last note: while the past week has been a devastating time to her family and friends, including all of us here at the TFT Group, please know we are promptly shipping all products and answering your questions (we are a bit behind getting out bonus items to those of you who attended a recent live training; please bear with us).
The fact we’re using an entire team to replace what Vonnie did shows how much we relied on her vast knowledge of our unique business.
We all miss her greatly.

Although Vonnie and I have been very good phone friends since I met her at a Seattle 1-day event several years ago, I did not know of her illness.
Every phone call to her for whatever, always involved a lengthy conversation about her beautiful and very special Sequim and surrounding area. I feel shattered at her early departure from this life, which she seemed to enjoy so much.
Please God, Bless Vonnie on her new journey and Bless Dean and her family and friends with understanding and acceptance of this very sad loss.
Maximum regards,,,,,,,,,
