Below is TFT’s response to the UK Home Office ban on Tim Larkin entering the UK…
“We believe the UK Home Office decision to disallow Tim Larkin from entering the UK is simply a misunderstanding on their part as to what TFT teaches. Our hope is that they will reconsider their decision, and that everything can be cleared up shortly.
“Based on the wording in their ruling it appears that virtually every martial arts and reality-based self-defense instructor would need to be banned as well.
“As everyone knows, TFT is extremely conscientious and responsible in all our instruction, making sure clients fully understand the importance of “avoiding the avoidable” type situations at all cost.
“We do, however, recognize there are unpredictable and unavoidable ‘black swan’ type events of random violence that do occur, and we provide clear information regarding what is required to survive these situations.”

Luckily a broader perspective was considered and the matter put to rest (we hope permanently). Such knee jerk myopic views are symptomatic of the problems in our society where one can truly protect oneself and then be hot water legally (for doing the right thing)!
Unable understand the belief that pushing dirt under the carpet makes a clean floor – TFT and other real life training is all that may stand between living and being a statistic and shouldn’t that be encouraged by those in government? Wake up to reality folks.

I’ve been following TFT for about 6 months now. Not too long ago I heard a UK radio show where Tim Larkin was asked to defend his position on self defense. From the people’s response to his no nonsense response I’m not surprised he got banned. The UK is a train wreck when it comes to crime and dealing with it. Socialism lessens personal responsibility and eventually removes the general population’s ability to deal with asocial and even antisocial situations. If the ban in the UK stays, other European countries will probably join the ban.

LOL. Maybe all the combat scientists should get behind this ban and boycott the UK — refuse to enter or to teach there at all!
If the UK wants to be helpless — don’t let’s stand in their way!
I wonder if any UK citizens teaching TFT or something similar to it is still allowed to sell his wares? If so, why haven’t they banned them, too by now? If not, why are they allowed to operate but Larkin is not?
Lots of ways this mess can be played.

Military soldiers even some police officers are taught how to deal with violence. Most civilians are not prepared and for the everyday hard working person who suddenly find themselves confronted with violence they need the tools.
Tim,Chris and the rest of the TFT family this is only a setback. Continue to educate and instruct. Some of these people in power are so far REMOVED from REALITY they don’t realize that to defend yourself against violence isn’t self defense it’s intelligence. Keep up the good work.

TFT doesn’t post their entire material on YOUTUBE like other instructors do. If kids are getting their material from Youtube and trying it on the playground it’s the parents responsibility to raise their kids.Not the internet. If criminals(however unlikely) are getting their training in violence from videos then at least normal everyday citizens can make it an even playing field with REALITY TRAINING.
TFT does that. There are other arts taught in the UK that teaches ”SELF DEFENSE” and some instructors are credible people. My question is WHY TIM LARKIN?? Doesn’t make sense.Next thing you know they’ll want a background check on people who buy the dvds there since it’s banned. Unbelievable.

I hadn’t heard of TFT until I read about it last week. The thought that people shouldn’t protect their lives when threatened is ridiculous.
I hope this matter is resolved quickly and Tim is allow to travel where he pleases.

theresa may probably hasn’t heard of Sykes and Fairbairn (and their endorsement of eye-gouging and testicle-squeezing!) without whom the women of this country could be speaking German and the men could be dead.
However, it’s worse than that: in any dealings you have with her to get the ban lifted, bear in mind that her motivations aren’t civilized: she has a reputation for wanting power concentrated in the hands of a few bigots like her. You’ll be dealing with malice as well as stupidity/”misunderstandings.”
As for the police here, some deserve medals and some deserve sacking or prison. I’ve met good and bad officers.
Most want a monopoly on using violence.

I recommend that british people support tim and follow his teachings by all methods available to us as the more of us that do will deminish the power of the thugs and more importantly may well save your life one day as you may not be as lucky as me. Lucky yes, I survived, how/why, I was fortunate enough to see a drain (through the blood pouring in my eyes) large enough for me to get my head in that prevented the continual rain of blows from steel feet hitting my skull!
I for one am going to follow this course and am eager to give tim any assistance I can from within the U.K. to get this stupid decision overtuned.

What is happening in Britain is typical.
While criminal gangs go around shooting at will as well as stabbing people to death and burning towns down, see the London riots of last summer, the police, social services and politicians ignore it and refuse to discuss the crisis we are facing.
Yet the ownership of air rifles by responsible adults is more or less prohibited.
There is an agenda that the British Government is following, that seems to be what most people I speak to think.
Apologies for what the morons in government have done in banning you. We are not all like that, only the chosen few.

I have watched all the interviews regarding the incident of being banned in the UK. I am sure you know this but it bears repeating. The Liberal press is just frothing at the mouth to take any thing you say and misconstrue and twist it to their advantage. As a matter of fact, if you would take any words that you teach so well, for example asocial violence, and change that to progressive liberalism, you will see thay they will use that tool without regret to finish you when it comes to this issue. They are not looking to learn , be educated, or compromise.
Your intent is honorable, theirs is to foist their agenda upon the world at all costs.
Please don’t give in to mindless interviews, where they will take every every word you say and poison it , and then feed it back to the world as news information, which the poor thoughtless masses will absorb as the gospel, because it came from a “major News Source”.
You have the knowledge to pull a punch not to kill some one, they couldn’t care less and are looking to destroy you.

Unlike America, England keeps a record of who is doing what. you just cannot open a school. Love AMERICA for what we can and cannot do. When this country tries to regulate martial arts. TRhey tryed to do it in the latre 60′s and Early 70′s. they did not want a “Martial Arts School” in the black Communities. Count Dante put a stop to that is Chicago and the country followed.
Personally owning Mr. Larkins and several other intsructor Training DVD’s I know that they will allow him in ONCE he does what is right in England eyes and register with the policies of England and PRAY that that BS NEVER comes to America.
