Transportation

Hotel, airline, train or car rental reservations are your responsibility. While there are plenty of cabs in the city, many attendees choose to rent a car or take the train for the three days.

Schedule

The training will run from 9am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday.

What to Bring

We recommend you bring some bottled water to drink.

Please wear long pants (blue or black loose fitting jeans like Levis #569 or #550 are strongly recommended – these are tough and let you grip them without tearing) and bring 2 clean white T-shirts for each day. Good ones are Haines Heavyweights, which you can get at almost any clothing store including Target or Wal-Mart.

While on the mats you probably won’t need shoes but we will work some outside or on a hard surface so wear a comfortable pair of stable, workout shoes (NOT running shoes). If you choose to wear shoes on the mats, these must be special ‘mat’ shoes that are never worn outdoors.

What To Do Before You Attend a Class

Although conditioning is not critical in an actual confrontation, for you to maximize your training time you need to at least be in reasonable shape. So if you haven’t already, plan to do some cardio work (jogging or hill climbing) prior to the sessions. If you have the TFT Weapons series, be sure to spend some time with the Leg Dynamics (video #8 or DVD #5). These exercises will really aid your training experience.

Other than this, there are no prerequisites or requirements for attending. Because this training is very unique, everyone starts from basically the same level. If you’ve had a chance to review any of the TFT video/DVD material that will help but, again, it’s not mandatory.
