Announcing April 2005 winner
Luke Wullenwaber Scholarship Winners
-----------------------------------------
After reviewing all entries received so far (more than 80 now)
I've selected not only the winner of the April Captain Luke C.
Wullenwaber TFT Memorial Scholarship but also 12 supplemental
recipients.
First, the April award... goes to Capt Christopher D Siler, US
Marine Corp, Washington, DC.

1. Let me say how deeply regretful I am for [Captain
Wullenwaber's] loss. As a member of the military, I am proud to
serve with such men, willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice for
freedom.
2. I have been interested in your program for some time and am
excited about the opportunity to receive some of your material.
As a student of the martial arts, the no nonsense and practical
approach to training that TFT revolves around has innumerable
real world applications. The training requirements that must be
met in today's military leaves little room for the pursuit of
excellence in any one discipline. Unfortunately, not all of our
time is focused on training for combat, and an easily learned
system that can be rapidly implemented and synergistically
combined with an existing program could prove invaluable. I do
not have the resources to send all of my Marines to a seminar but
would welcome a DVD set...the many Marines in my charge will gain
[a large] impact from your training.
3. Thank you for your consideration and I applaud your efforts
with this new program.
Christopher Siler
Capt, USMC

Congratulations, Capt Siler. I'm sure all the Marines under your
command appreciate the efforts made by you to see they have the
finest in instruction. Vonnie will be sending you a copy of our
Weapons DVD product and also your choice of either our Las Vegas
live training video series (videos only) or our new Live Training
series on DVD (to be released next month), whichever format is
easier to pass around to your troops.
As you're aware, many of you offered generous contributions to
help expand this program. I'll be announcing the recipients of
these special supplemental awards over the next several months
and want to begin with a large group this month.
Here are those recipients (name and addresses only as some have
asked their stories be kept private). Each will receive a TFT
video/DVD product selected specifically for them:
* Sgt Mark Talbot, Reading Police Department, Reading, PA.
* Samuel L Flyinghorse, Gakona, Alaska
* Maj Jamie D Juhl, G3 Plans Officer, Wiesbaden Army Airfield,
Germany
* Dan Flores for his daughter Elizabeth, Chelmsford, MA (pretty
special Dad, Elizabeth!)
* Mitchell Lee, North York, Canada
* Sgt David Wallis, Richmond Police Dept, Richmond, VA
* Victor Moncayo, Jackson Heights, NY
* Dan Voith
* Tony Negron, Senior Naval Science Advisor, Simeon Career
Academy (inner city school, Chicago, IL)
* Carlos Jorge, Bolivia, South America
* Deputy Chris Stears, Fresno County Sheriff's Dept
* Richard Dailey, Decatur, GA
Thanks to everyone who entered. If you weren't chosen, your entry
will go into next month's selection process along with other
applications received by month end.
To apply for this scholarship, just send me a maximum 250-word
explanation of why you or someone you know should receive this
scholarship. Email the information to me at
luke@targetfocustraining.com. Or, if you prefer, fax it
to: 206-686-3469 or mail to me care of: The TFT Group, 325 E
Washington St, #207, Sequim, WA 98382.
Again, congratulations to each of the winners.
Best regards,
Tim Larkin,
Creator, Target-Focus Training
PS. On another note: I know many of you still have questions
about the Target-Focus Training system. To help answer these, I
recently took 12 key concepts and discussed each in depth in 5 to
10 minute segments, then had these transcribed.
Each is available
on our new website (which goes live next week). You can hear or
see these now by clicking this link: http:www.targetfocustraining.com/what_is_tft.html.
Let me know what you think.
