“...exactly as advertised -- intense, targeted, training designed to generate immediate results.”“Intense, effective, highly recommended. An incredible experience. Larkin and his instructors are the absolute best in their field. Everyone else is four steps behind. What I liked was the intensity, the lack of unnecessary info, jargon and fluff. A complete focus on the fundamentals, the total concentration on results. With this system: 1) You will learn what Larkin says you will learn, and 2) The course is exactly as advertised -- intense, targeted, focused training designed to produce immediate results.” Mark D. Seeing Through The ChatterMore TFT... Secrets For Staying Alive When 'Rules' Don't Apply Seeing Through The Chatter **************************************************************************************** "The art of war is simple enough. Find out where the enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can and as often as you can, and keep moving on." - General U.S. Grant **************************************************************************************** Failure to make a decision plagues you in many arenas. And when it comes to the most critical 5 seconds of your life this indecision often proves fatal. Television documentaries such as the "Human Weapon" series on the History Channel provoke an avalanche of email from folks, asking about the effectiveness of "martial art X" versus "military system Y." Sadly, that question -- AND it is your number one question -- truly misses the mark! I've corresponded to some of you now for years through this newsletter and I see my message has yet to penetrate many of your ears. My very first newsletter asks you to decide why you are training in this area of combat sports/martial arts/self defense. I then explain that if your choice is COMPETITION, I'll be of
little use to you. BUT if your goal is DESTRUCTION, then you've
come to the right place. (You can read that first newsletter by
going to: The newsletters that follow define for you the "gold standard" for determining whether or not your chosen system, sport, or art matches up to the task. The gold standard, of course, is VIOLENCE. And the one thing in violence that changes things in your favor is INJURY. You are then told that my definition of injury is to wreck an area of the human body so it no longer can perform the function it was designed to do. (I've gone in depth about spinal reflex reactions and how different areas of the human body provide varying levels of trauma. You can see those newsletters for further explanation). See, we want to immediately start the process of shutting off the other guy's brain through serial injury. We don't care about making him "feel pain" or getting him to comply or capitulate. Those are all psychological variables within each human that we simply canNOT bet our life on. So what does this have to do with people's emails about the Human Weapon Series on the History Channel? EVERYTHING! The keys that unlock the answer to every one of your questions are within the very pages of these newsletters. As I've stated in our TFT Blog (http://www.targetfocustraining.com/blog), I encourage all of you to watch the Human Weapon Series on the History Channel. If you watch closely you see many times the instructors talking about injury but the actual application falls severely short. I've been especially disappointed with some of the "military systems" shown because although the talk is tough, the application is very sub-standard and provides you with unfocused aggression and a reliance on being bigger/faster/stronger. And by now your know, in the world of violence that is a recipe for disaster. Watch with these newsletters in mind and see if you can see beyond the chatter. And maybe it's time you go back to the first newsletter and REALLY make your decision about what you want out of your training: Competition or Destruction? If it's the former then the Human Weapon Series gives you a lot to choose from. But if it's the latter... well, lets just say you'll probably want to keep your subscription to my newsletter current. Until next time, Tim Larkin "When Violence Is The ONLY Answer" PS. I wonder how soon you'll become aware of the speed at which live training sessions clarify these very concepts, enabling you to quickly act in the face of violence. There's just no substitute for the personal attention you receive when you attend one of these classes. But few remain this year. There are two 1-day classes, one in Toronto, October 13 (where
special international pricing now applies) and one in Dallas,
October 26 (with live Z-health training provided as part of your
registration). Check them out here: And finally there's one last 3-day session in Miami, November 2-4 (it's at a hot, new facility).
