“As far as police defensive tactics training — it’s light years ahead. PDTT is still in the ‘50’s.and because of that guys aren’t getting the real deal. They’re getting stuff that’s gonna get them hurt in the street. Even a lot of the people who are teaching commercially to police are just taking a chance on getting officers hurt. “Here — [what you get are] simple, basic genuine techniques that work! .A lot of people who would teach a class like this would stretch this out to 5, 6, 7 days with a lot of arcane or esoteric stuff that looks cool to teach and is fun to do but it doesn’t really have a lot of practical application. It wows them, and you pay a lot of money for that ‘wowing’ time but it’s not real effective. THIS was just pared down to real effective techniques that just work. The disarming technique — I’ve learned 6 or 7 ones [on my job as a police officer] and this is the best one I’ve ever learned. It was simple, it was basic, it was to the point. “ If this is what you want to learn, if you’re not looking for belts and to identify with a style or particular art, if you’ve done some research and know what this is about, put your money where your mouth is and get you ass in here ’cause it’s worth it.”
